The Wonderful Advisory Panel

Our important Advisory Panel Members are enthusiastic office professionals and we greatly appreciate their input.  Panel Members provide advice and direction and the following people are pleased to be involved:

Mary-Jo Harbourne

Mary-Jo Harbourne is currently Executive Assistant to the Queensland & Northern Territory Chairman – ANZ since August 2008. Prior to her appointment to the Chairman Mary-Jo worked as Executive Assistant to the State Head ANZ Private Bank Queensland – April 2004 – August 2008.

"In my current job role I enjoy the fact that every day is different and you have to think on your feet and outside the square constantly so there are many challenges in my day and I have great job satisfaction to overcome these challenges

Sarah McKee

Sarah McKee

Sarah McKee is Executive Assistant to the Director of John Paul International College, Daisy Hill.  She has nearly 40 years’ experience working in a variety of private sector companies.

With a great interest in professional development and the growth of the profession in general, Sarah became an active member of AIOP/IPSA, serving ten years on the Qld Committee of Management.  She performed numerous roles including State President and National Board Director and enjoyed guiding the development of the framework and direction of Qld Division.  Sarah was also a long-term member of the National Secretaries’ Day Breakfast Committee and along with a dedicated team, planned and took to a successful conclusion several breakfasts with attendances of up to 1700.  Highlights during this time included an Outstanding Service Award, a finalist in both the National Award of Excellence and Office Professional of the Year.

Being involved with the OPBE is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and build upon my professional networks, uncover new industry resources and most importantly, learn something new.  I am thrilled and honoured to again be a member of the OPBE Advisory Panel.  I encourage you to attend and hope that our expertise and enthusiasm for a successful event help to put together an exciting and enlightening professional development program.”

Sharmayne Riseley

With more than 25 years experience in providing professional assistance at senior management levels, Sharmayne Riseley has been at the very top of her profession now for 14 years in her role as Executive Assistant to the General Manager of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

 

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is Australia’s most awarded venue which hosts in excess of 1,300 events every year. In addition to her Executive Assistant’s role, Sharmayne is responsible for a wide range of responsibilities including being in charge of general office administration, travel arrangements, preparation of board reports and coordinating and responding to client feedback.

 

Sharmayne has enjoyed a varied and wide ranging career working in such diverse areas as insurance broking, project management, sports marketing, workplace child care, and architecture where the office was located in a graveyard!

 

Sharmayne views her role as a member of Absolute Events & Marketing’s OPBE Advisory Panel as "A great opportunity to work collaboratively to ensure Office Professionals are supported in their careers through relevant development opportunities and that the role is considered as a professional career choice."

Anne Hayden

Anne Hayden

Anne is currently Business Assistant to the Brisbane Office Managing Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Anne enjoys the variety of work and the challenges that each day brings in this role.

Anne enjoys contributing to the OPBE Advisory Panel with speaker and topic ideas and says "It’s a fabulous opportunity to work alongside other experienced panel members to assist in pulling together an event tailored for an office professional!"
